Built for watching, not for waiting.
Video is decoded by the hardware in your device and drawn by the system, so a wall of cameras stays smooth and a recording opens where you asked.
A wall of every camera
All of a site’s cameras playing at once, with a tap to open any of them full size.
A timeline you can scrub
Drag through the day and the picture follows. Detections sit on the timeline and in a list with thumbnails.
Several sites, one key
Paste a UI.com API key, tick the consoles you want, and switch between them from the sidebar.
A joystick for PTZ cameras
Hold to turn, let go to stop. Zoom the lens and jump to the camera’s saved views.
360° cameras, flattened
Look around a fisheye picture as if it were a camera you could pan, tilt and zoom.
Full-quality export
Save an event, or any stretch of a recording, as the original video.
Remote access, said plainly.
Seeing video from a site when you are somewhere else needs a way in. Sightline sets one up for you, and tells you exactly what it is before it does.
- You choose the sitesPaste an API key from your UI account. Sightline lists your consoles and you pick the ones to watch.
- It shows what it will addA WireGuard VPN named “Sightline” on that site’s UniFi gateway, and your device as a client of it. Nothing is added until you agree.
- Video comes straight from the siteLive and recorded video travel over that connection, inside the app. Nothing changes in your device’s own network settings.
Worth knowing: a VPN server opens a UDP port on the gateway’s internet connection, as any VPN does. Removing the site in Sightline removes what it added. A site without a UniFi gateway still works, with still pictures in place of video, and on a console’s own network you can simply sign in to it.
Nothing about you leaves your hands.
Sightline has no accounts of its own, no analytics and no ads. Your API key and sign-ins stay in your device’s Keychain and go only to Ubiquiti and your own consoles. Read the privacy policy.
